Prohibition

The movement of the prohibition started in the early nineteenth century. Prohibition meant the consumption and sell of any alcohol was illegal and banned. The prohibition occurred between 1920 and ended in1933 in the United States.
 
A bootlegger was a person or people that made, sold, transported, or consumed alcohol during the prohibition.

During the prohibition people had speakeasy's were illegal liquor stores, and/or nightclubs that sold alcohol. Most speakeasy's were held underground and only select few were aware of these illegal places due to the fact they were an illegal business and if were caught could do serious jail time.
